Our goal
is to provide the best care for your pets when you have to be
away. To accomplish this, we will need you to supply us with
vital information regarding your pets and home. This information
is given to us by clients on the Service Agreement. If the request
for information seems lengthy and detailed, please remember
that we will refer to the service agreement and other documents
in your absence.
For subsequent requests
for service, please ensure that Susan’s Pampered Pets
is notified of any changes such as new pets, illness, medications,
lock changes, alarm codes, people with permitted access to your
home, etc., so that we may update our files.
Important
information we need:
Vaccination
records: We request that all pets be current on their vaccinations
prior to service start date;
Name, address
and telephone number of your preferred veterinarian or animal
care clinic;
Name and
telephone number of at least one local emergency contact;
Your itinerary,
including location and all contact numbers where you can be
reached while away;
Two copies of all
keys needed to gain entry to your home.
Most of
this information should be available at our “Get Acquainted
Meeting” which lasts about 30 minutes. This meeting allows
us to meet your pets, review the Service Agreement, including
the Pet and Home Information, pick up keys and collect payment
for your reservation. Payment in full is required at the time
of our first meeting and for all holiday requests to secure
your reservation on our calendar. Other than holiday reservations,
payment for future service may be left in a prearranged place.
Please see the Rates
and Services Page.
Keys
All keys
are kept stored and securely locked. Names and addresses are
NEVER attached to them, and our coding system is safe. If you
choose not to release keys to us, a key pick up and return fee
will be charged.
While You’re Away
We will
keep a visit log to record the time of our visits. If you prefer
and have access to email, we can email a daily log rather than
leaving a handwritten log. Litter boxes are scooped at each
visit. We wash our hands and use antibacterial lotion between
each visit during the day to minimize your pet’s exposure
to illness. While this does not apply to you, as an added protection,
we don’t accept jobs in homes where there are fleas to
avoid exposing other client’s homes to infestation.
When You Return
Please remember
to call or email us at any hour to advise us of your return
home. For the safety and well-being of your pet, we will extend
our service, if need be, and charge you for those visits, until
you notify us of your return.
